Watch your time-of-day analytics for Twitter
It’s vital to keep an eye on the analytics for the social media status updates you post, whether you use Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook or something else.
We help out on the social media team for the Walter Scott Prize for Historical Fiction, as I mentioned last week. We track which of our status updates are performing best by looking at the analytics on the various platforms where the literary prize has a presence.
But one thing that had rather escaped me is the time-of day insights available from Twitter. And that’s because these insights are best viewed not in the analytics tab in the drop-down, but right on the homepage of your Twitter timeline, when you’re logged in. Here’s a quick how-to video to show you what I mean:
